You also want to make sure it can handle the kind of traffic you have in your home. Buying a low quality bar table for a kitchen that sees a lot of use will be the quick way to early replacement. Most bar height tables stand just under four feet tall. How wide they come will be relative to your needs as they can be as accommodating or as compact as needed. Some even have leaves that enable you to lengthen the table. Once you’ve made your selection make sure the stools that come with it fit you comfortably. You should have about a foot or more of room between your thighs and the bottom of the table. Most tables and chairs come as sets and will already provide comfortable seating.
