The Art Of Jazz Music

Entertainment

Jazz music is not ordinary music. It’s not like pop with its youthful trendiness. It’s not like rock with its strong back beat. It’s not like any other genre of music. Jazz is hard to define, hard to describe, easy to misinterpret. The art of Jazz was not meant to be defined. It was meant for improvisation, exploration, and rebellion in the world of music.

Jazz gets its American roots from African Americans. As the story goes, jazz began as a slang word that referred to music in Chicago in 1915. It has since spawned over the years into many different genres.

Jazz is a mixture of several things. It is full of improvisation and polyrythms. It is packed with syncopation and swung notes. Jazz is anything but boring and dry.
