The Advantages of Potted Indoor Plants

When one is purchasing plants, a great percentage of them come in pots and can either be potted indoor plants or can be removed and replanted in the garden. One of the best types of pots around is the self-watering plant pot, which will, for 12 weeks, water your plants in intervals to relieve the plant owner of that hassle for a period. There are plants that can be placed both indoors and outdoors so the type of plant pot that one chooses can be decorative yet functional as pots come in different shapes, sizes, and designs that mean that pots do not have to be basic and plain.

One of the top advantages of potted indoor plants is the fact that they will last much longer than cut plants. This is because these plants have their roots and the rest of the plant still intact and all one has to do is ensure that the plants are taken care of depending on each plant’s needs. Potted plants are advantageous because one can choose to take the plant outside and plant it in the ground and this means that one can change the type of flower without having to get rid of the other plants. Potted plants allow for easier pest and plant disease control. This is because one can easily change pots or treat the plant pots with the relevant chemicals without causing much trauma to the plant.

It is also important to note that potted indoor plants are cheaper because the planter is included in the sales price. One can make pots out of old plastic or ceramic containers, recycled bottles and milk jugs as well as a host of other safe household items that can be hang up on a wire or in rooms to offer a unique angle to interior decoration.
