Gucci Mane Music Popularity In Washington DC
There are a lot of diverse styles present in the music scene in Washington DC. If you take a look at the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area, then you will know that they are strongly influenced by a style of music called “go-go.” This type of music is classified as a style of funk and was popularized during the late 1970’s. With that said, there has been substantial support for Gucci Mane music throughout his entire career in this same area. Even though he is not even from this region of the country (he’s from Atlanta, GA) a lot of people know and listen to all of his songs in the District of Colombia.
