Finding High Quality Commercial Bar Stools

If you are purchasing stainless steel commercial bar stools it is important to do your homework in advance.  There are many different brands which may offer very similar styled chairs.  Often times the price can vary a large amount per bar stool.  Manufacturing firms all have different internal quality standards.  They do not always disclose information to help make comparison bar stool shopping easy.  You can get around this if you know the weight of each bar stool.  Usually higher quality stools will often weigh more per chair.

Higher quality commercial bar stools will use higher gauge stainless steel tubing.  This is extremely important for the long term durability of your potential bar stool.  Lower weight materials may not hold up very well in a commercial bar environment.  Keep in mind that lower gauge steel will also not hold welds as well either.  Welded seems should be very smooth without any rough edges.  Your commercial bar stools will be subjected to much more stress compared to stools purchased for a home/residential environment.

If you need to purchase chairs online, be sure to purchase a single chair first.  Make sure that the retailer has a liberal return policy if you do not like the chair.  Buying a single sample chair can be a great way to avoid having a large number of commercial bar stools which won’t fit your needs.  Unfortunately, pictures online do not always let you have a good idea of the build quality for the chair.  Sometimes,  retailers may fail to update pictures as well.

It is a good idea to purchase commercial bar stools with as little moving parts as possible.  This can help ensure the longevity of your bar stools.  If you do purchase a chair which uses screws, be sure to purchase extra screws.  Screws will fall out over time.  If you do not replace the screws your chair will prematurely fail from unbalanced weight on the joints.
