Well pain is both relative to the person who is having the treatment and relative to the pain they are already feeling. Also, females tend to have a higher threshold for pain than the males (bunch of whiners.) The other consideration is how much pain is the acne causing you now. For some people the acne is purely aesthetic. When I had acne they caused a dull ache constantly and quite a bit of pain when the infections flared up. Overall the choice will nearly always be worth having the acne scarring dealt with, just for some it may be MORE worth it.
