Chinchilla cages are offered by many pet stores and pet suppliers. Sometimes, cages which are designed to house other forms of pets would serve equally well for a Chinchilla. They need an environment which is going to give them a secure place to sleep and a place to play. For instance, parrot cages and ferret cages are great for a chinchilla because of their overall height. They make a great large chinchilla cage because the chinchilla is a real climber with the ability to leap up to 5 feet in the air. A large chinchilla cage is very important because of the freedom of movement that it allows the chinchillas.

The chinchilla also needs to be stimulated so you must provide plenty of activities. Wooden toys which are hung up all around the cage make particularly suitable stimulants for the chinchilla. Good choices for material for these wooden toys are usually apple or willow. Certain tree resins can be quite poisonous to chinchilla; most of these resins come from conifer woods, so they should be avoided. Wood is the usual choice for a chinchilla because they are such avid chewers. Anything is that it is made from plastic should be avoided because the chinchilla will chew it up and there is a danger that the pieces of plastic can become lodged in the chinchilla’s intestines.

Another consideration then you should make when you are buying a large chinchilla cage is to ensure proper a circulation of air. Chinchilla’s don’t sweat, so there really is no way for it to regulate its own body temperature, heatstroke has been reported in several chinchilla’s because they can become overheated very quickly. The ambient temperature of the cage should be kept around 25°C. A good airflow through the cage will also reduce the incidence of bad odor.

You must clean a large chinchilla cage on a regular basis. There are cages that you can buy with a removable bottom, or a bottom that has a sliding removable panel. This makes it much easier to clean up any mess. The chinchilla’s bedding should always be made out of either wood shavings or some form of pulped paper. Remember that the chinchilla should not come in contact with certain conifer material. Your chinchilla has to stay in this cage for most of its life so they more comfortable of an environment you can make it the better it will be for the animal’s welfare.

A dog life jacket is essential for any owner who loves to take their dog out on the water with them. Dog life jackets keep your dog safe by keeping them buoyant in any body of water. You might think to yourself that a life jacket for a dog is a bit silly and should you really waste money on this? Well the short answer to that is yes. Although your dog will probably get by for a little while doing the doggy paddle don’t be reliant on them being able to swing. They can quite easily get tired just the same as us humans so there’s no need to take a risk with the. You also have to be careful if swimming in the ocean as there could be under currents that you’re not aware of which could sweep your dog away in to trouble. So looking at these risks its absoltely essential that you get a dog life jacket for your pet.

The important things to look out for when buying a life jacket for your dog is to firstly make sure that its a snug fit on your pet. It will be absolutely useless if you get one which is too big and could potentially come off and provide no safety or security to your dog. Also make sure that the vest is a high visibility color in case something happens to your dog at night. It is also useful during the day if your dog is drifting away into the distance it will make the pup easier to identify. Dog life jackets are relatively inexpensive and considering the risks of not having one I’d consider it to be an essential item for you and your pet.

Anyone who has every owned a dog understands that for the most part, dogs love to be petted. But for many dogs, massage therapy is a wonderful treatment for a variety of ailments as well as for overall well-being. Most insurance companies have begun to understand the importance of chiropractic care and massage therapy for people, but canine massage therapy is just beginning to work its way into the mainstream. Unfortunately, not everyone who practices dog massage therapy fully understands canine anatomy. If you are considering massages for your dog as part of a recovery from surgery or treatment for another problem like anxiety or arthritis, make sure to find someone in your area that is certified. Avoid doing any deep tissue massage yourself with your pooch as these techniques can be harmful if you don’t understand the underlying physiology.
