Best Student Car Insurance
In most states, it is illegal to be driving without car insurance and if caught without it under 18 years old, a license can be suspended under the age of 21.
There are two basic types of student car insurances; comprehensive and catastrophic.
1. Catastrophic. This type is for the destructive accidents, including major collisions. This policy is less expensive than comprehensive. However, it may not cover all minor repairs as it does for major repairs. A student can file a claim for collisions where the car is destroyed, but repair is not covered.
2. Comprehensive. Students are recommended this type of coverage. It is more expensive, but is better for students by covering most kinds of damage to both the driver and the car itself.
There are other options of coverage for student drivers besides the two mentioned above of which can be more affordable also but have the lowest coverage. Some students take the option of theft and fire insurances, which are offered for particular coverages only. There are also times when students can get special coverage for road rage, glass breakage and the breakdown of a car, all of which can easily be afforded by a student.
