Animal Print Bedding Ensembles
Animal print has made its way to the bedroom like never before. Bedding ensembles are available in a myriad of prints and colors, assuring there is a set for every age group. For years it was assumed that only the most mature, and perhaps sexy, among us would dare to decorate the bedroom in animal prints. Maybe there was a hint of a wild side when a couple entered a bedroom with a bold leopard print comforter or the brown and black stripes of a tiger. Today animal prints are found in bedrooms and nurseries, enjoyed by every age group from the infant to the grandmother.
For the infant, the most popular of animal prints is the zebra bedding in black and white with a pastel pink trim. The fabric is usually 100% cotton with a wide striped pattern. The pink is so very light that it defines femininity. What little girl would not like to be welcomed home to a nursery filled with the distinctive lines of a zebra?
By the time the little one has reached the pre-teen and teenage years, the color scheme has varied although the animal print may still be the stripes of an animal. As the Gothic trend in everything that relates to teens has become popular, bedding ensembles in the zebra print can be found in black and white, hot pink and black, and even purple and black. While it is difficult to determine if the teenager prefers the design of the animal prints or the wild color combinations, it is certain that when put in combination, teens go wild for the design.
Of course, young adults often enjoy the snow leopard print on the comforter or perhaps a more subtle animal print for the bed spread. More often than not, once a teen outgrows the desire for the vibrant colors of youth, the love of animal prints may continue. Selecting bedding ensembles in an animal print that is true to the natural colors of the wild is most often the favored choice.
